William Magill, 86, of Ironton, Ohio, passed on January 11, 2022.
William was born on February 16, 1935 to the late Garnold F. and Ruth F. (O'Bryant) Magill. William graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1953 and was a retiree of U.S Shoe Corporation.

After a ride operator was paid to keep her on the Ferris wheel until she agreed to a date, William married his beloved Nancy Ann Chaffin on April 3rd 1954. They were married 53 years until Nancy's passing in 2007.

William known as "Pop" is survived by his children John (Tammy) Magill, Debbie (Mike) Hamlin, and Kregg (Cindy)Magill as well as his grandchildren Dana (Buddy)Simms, Zachary (Amy) Magill, Nathan (Brandi)Magill , Katie (Brian) Towne, Robert (Erin) Hamlin and 16 great-grandchildren. He is uncle Bill to many nieces and nephew's and is survived by a special sister in-law Laura Magill, dozens of cousins, and other friends and caregivers he considered family.

William was a jack of all trades, and a master of many. If it needed wired, welded, fixed, or rebuilt, he could do it, but he also spent time helping Santa make doll houses and crafting furniture and keepsakes for family and friends. He and his dad operated Magill Radio and TV in the 1950s. In addition to working for us shoe corporation for over four decades, he worked with his brother, David restoring antique military vehicles.
His amazing recall of events fostered deep connections and the sense that family is forever and our lives are built upon one another's in ways that forever tie us intricately together.

A memorial service will be held Monday , January 17th, 2022 in the O' Kefee Baker funeral home with Pastor Ted Holden officiating. A private burial will be held in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
