William A. "Bill" WressellPort HuronWilliam A. "Bill" Wressell, age 69, of Port Huron, passed away October 1, 2017. He was born on March 12, 1948 in Bad Axe, Michigan to the late Clarence and Rena Wressell, and spent most of his early life in Oxford, Michigan. Bill faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne during the
Vietnam War, and trained at Fort Bragg during his service. He married the love of his life, Beverley Baird, on October 8, 1983 and celebrated 34 wonderful years together with her. He was also a devoted father to his two daughters in whom he took great pride. Bill was an excellent salesman who owned and operated "Filter Queen," Air Filtration Distributorships to make his living. He was passionate about his work, and won numerous awards and trips for his accomplishments. Upon retiring, he enjoyed working on small engine and bicycle repairs. He took great joy in giving bikes to children in need and loved helping people. Bill also had a great love of all animals and gave many of them a home. As he journeys home to meet family and friends who went before him he will be making a special stop at the Rainbow Bridge where he will meet his adored & much missed four-legged friends Pepper "Pepperoni," Annie, and many more. Bill is survived by his beloved & devoted wife Beverley Wressell and his dearly loved and cherished daughters Celeste (Andrew) Richards and Heather (John) Fisher. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Nathan, Abby, William and Harrison Richards and Evan, Ava, Liam and Juliet Fisher. Also surviving him are his sister Nellie (Bill) Franzel, brother Jim (Valerie) Wressell and many nieces and nephews. Visitation & Services will be held Friday, October 6 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., MI Visiting hours will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions as an expression of sympathy may be made to the family.
