Allen, William "John", Sr.,69 of Crestwood, KY, passed away on April 30, 2017. John was born on November 23, 1947 to Cecil and Betty Jane Curry Allen in Louisville. John was an avid car enthusiast. He was a retired mechanic for the Public Works Department for the City of Jeffersontown, KY.He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Allen; mother, Betty Allen; along with his sister, Jane. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Judy; son, John Allen Jr., (Kathy); sister, Judy of Indiana; brothers, Jack Allen of Louisville, Joe Allen of Indiana, and Rick Allen of Louisville; grandchildren, Mark and Heather; and his beloved cats, Smoke and Puff. The Allen family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Norton Brownsboro. Visitation for John will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Schur Funeral Home, 7500 W. Highway 146, Pewee Valley, KY 40056, 502-241-2411. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Schur Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
