William "Bill" Arnold Koshiol died peacefully on November 24th 2016 at home in DeLand, Florida at the age of 78. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Koshiol, seven children, Danny (Pam) Koshiol, Debbie Koshiol, Lauri (Gus) Grizzard, Sean (Danielle) Pigue, Kurt (Stephanie) Koshiol, Keith (Tamela) Koshiol and Kristine (Darren) Elkind, his siblings, Arnette Sherman, Cindy Barrow, Greg Koshiol, Jeff Koshiol, and Alan Koshiol and his thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mariette Koshiol and his sister, Theresa Schmidt and many dear friends. Bill was born on November 15th 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Arnold and Mariette Koshiol. Bill moved to the Florida Keys in 1973 and later to DeLand, Florida in 1975. Bill opened a houseboat rental company on the St. Johns River and loved building and selling homes for much of his life. He married Janice Koshiol in 1990. Bill and Janice vacationed in Maine and loved it so much, they then lived there for seventeen years. Bill and Janice moved back to DeLand, Florida in 2004. During their time in Maine, Bill and Janice welcomed foster children into their home. Bill's family and many friends will remember him for his love of the water, flying and his countless adventures, stories, and jokes. Most of all, Bill will be remembered for his unique and infectious laugh and his eternal impact on his family and friends. A memorial service and reception is scheduled for Tuesday, November 29th from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Lake Beresford Yacht Club, 1961 Hontoon Road, DeLand, Florida 32720.
