Anton, William C. "Bill"Age 77, Appleton, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at ThedaCare Medical Center. He was born on November 15, 1938 to the late Silas & Sadie (Gehrt) Anton in Embarrass, WI. Bill proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1955 - 1963. He married Rhona Piechocki on June 29, 1963 at First English Lutheran Church at which time he became a member and was an usher for 40+ years. Bill's hobbies were his family and church. He had exceptional mechanical aptitude and loved to work with his hands. Bill was an excellent Auto Technician; he retired from Gustman's of Appleton. He was very involved with home repairs and enjoyed tinkering with motors and engines. He liked to fish, hunt deer and camp.Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years of marriage, Rhona; two daughters: Sharon (Neil) Vanden Brook, Sunnyvale, CA and Karleen (Scott) Ward, Greenville; brother: Wallace (Cathy) Anton, Embarrass, WI and brother-in-law: Jerome Smith. He is further survived by additional family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Eunice Smith.A funeral service for Bill Anton will be held at 11AM, Saturday, November 12, at First English Lutheran Church, 326 E North St, with Rev. Jeff Tengesdal officiating. Friends may visit from 9AM until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
