William D. Gullageof Westford; 87 WESTFORD -- William David "Dave" Gullage, 87, longtime resident of the Nabnasset neighborhood of Westford, died peacefully at his home on November 17, 2016.He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara (Brennan) Gullage for over fifty years.Dave was born on March 24, 1929 in Somerville, MA. He was the son of William and Louise Mae (Stares) Gullage. Dave was raised in No. Billerica and lived there until he moved to Westford in 1964.In his twenties, Dave was a member of the National Guard where he was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. In addition, Dave had an extensive work history including; Arakalian and Sons, Gladstone Construction, Robert M. Hicks Construction, J. E. Harrington and Sons and also worked at the Chelmsford School System as a custodian.Dave enjoyed gardening, fine dining and going to the cinema, particularly Showcase Cinema in Lowell where the staff was always warm and welcoming to him.Dave is survived by his children; Cheryl A. Gaulin of Pepperell, Deborah L. Weaver and her husband, Thomas, of Westford and John D. Gullage and his wife, Roberta, of Hillsboro, NH, his nine grandchildren; Daniel Bergamini and his wife, Elaina, Maria Bergamini, Benjamin Weaver, Casey Gullage and his wife, Michelle, and Joshua Gullage and his wife, Danai, Alana and Matthew Gaulin, Stephen Chipp and his six great-grandchildren; Harper, Brennan, Dylan, Kylee and Chase Gullage and Alex Aponte. Dave is also survived by his brother, Donald Gullage and his wife Phyllis of Hillsboro, NH and his sister, Francis (Hunt) Richards of Lake City, FL.In addition to his wife, Dave is predeceased by his brother, Milton, and son-in-law, Ronald Gaulin.GULLAGE -- Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Monday November 21, 2016 from 10 AM until 12 PM.
