A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4-7:00 PM at the Runnells Christian Church with a private burial 10:00 on Saturday at Lowman Cemetery near Runnells. William was born on July 23, 1931 in Polk County, Iowa to Arthur and Orpha De Joode. William is survived by his 3 children, Sandie (Steve) Curry of Runnells, Rick De Joode of Runnells and Marcia (Duane) Miller of Bondurant; siblings, Trudy Hauserman, Phyllis Connett, Carolyn Richeson, Barb McGrean, Bev Pearson and Donnie De Joode; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. William was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Orpha, wife Lois and siblings Norma Wyant, Helen Eiselstein, Dick De Joode, Marian Adams and Ronnie De Joode.
