William "Bill" Edward TravnickWilliam (Bill) Edward Travnick peacefully passed away Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 in Fort Collins, CO from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. Bill was 83 years old. He was born on September 16th, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Julia and James Travnick. Bill attended St. Mel's High School in Chicago and earned a football scholarship to the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma where he became Captain of the football team, was awarded a degree in Medical Technology and, most importantly, met the love of his life, the former Caryl Lee Ross. Bill and Lee were married on January 22, 1955. After a brief stint playing professional football for the Philadelphia Eagles and in the Canadian Football League, Bill and Lee lived in several states across the country, including Oklahoma, Georgia, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, California and Virginia, as he worked in the Pharmaceutical and Safety Equipment Industries before they retired to their current home in Fort Collins. They had four children, Terri, Bill, Jim and Tom. Bill is survived by Lee, Terri, her husband Steve Anderson and their children, Melissa, Megan (and husband Beau), Paige and Dane; Bill, his wife Deb and their children, Elizabeth, Danielle, Will (and wife Krista), and Kaylee; and his five great-grandchildren, Karyn, Waylon, Layton, Colton and Malryk. Services will be held at 9:30AM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Fort Collins, CO and he will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery.
