Mr. William Bill Faloona, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Bill was born on June 27, 1938 in Port Arthur. Bill worked as a truck driver and as a helmsman on lake freighters but most of his career was spent as a millwright at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. He was an active member of the Lakehead Antique Car Club and the Lakehead SnoSurfers. He will always be remembered for his love of stock car racing. Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Muriel; children Tom Faloona (Judy), Dan Faloona (Andrea), Deb Simpson (Brad); grandchildren, Sean and Mark Faloona, Dane Simpson (Hannah), Breanna Simpson (Brent), Kyle Simpson, Ken Stewardson (Jen), Angie Stewardson (Tim) and Mike Stewardson, great grandchildren Freya Simpson, Brad Tough, Kyle Tough, Brooklin Stewardson, Gabe Stewardson, great great grandchild Ariah Stewardson. He was predeceased his mother Dora, father Hubert, step-mother Ethel, daughter Dora, brother Graham MacLeod, and brother-in-law Norman LeRossignol. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at The Royal Canadian Legion, Kakabeka Branch #225 from 2:00pm until 5:00 pm. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations to the Northern Cardiac Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
