William (Bill) FollasWilliam Robert (Bill) Follas,69, passed away suddenly at his son's home in Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Bill was born on June 30, 1947 in Toledo, OH, the son of Junior D. and Mary Ann (Lepke) Follas. He grew up in Iowa City, graduated from City High School and attended The University of Iowa. For most of his career, Bill worked in men's retail clothing. More recently, he was an employee of the First Avenue Hy-Vee store in Iowa City. Bill retired in November of 2016 from Hy-Vee and then moved to Las Vegas. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed playing golf and continued to follow the pro golf tour.Survivors include his two children: William Bradley (Brad) Follas and Michelle R. Follas, three granddaughters: Kiersten, Mikayla and Jayden, and a sister Patricia A. (James) Harvey. Bill will be dearly missed by family and friends.Bill was preceded in death by his parents.Private family graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
