CONTOOCOOK – William H. Grenert, 89, passed away at Presidential Oaks, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, following a memorable family vigil the evening before.Bill was born on June 28, 1927, in Holyoke, Mass., the son of Harold and Elsie (Walton) Grenert. He graduated from Deering High School, Portland Maine in 1945 and immediately joined U.S. Merchant Marines. Joining the U.S. Army in 1950, he served as a photographer in the post-war occupation of Germany. During his lifetime Mr. Grenert was a real estate broker, a framer, shop owner and antique dealer. An avid learner, he later combined his technical skills and his knowledge of sales, antiques and photography to become a long-time power seller on eBay.He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Nancy Brown.Members of his surviving family include his wife, Beverly (Tremblay) Grenert; his sister, Charlotte Bickford and her husband, Robert; his brothers-in-law, James Brown and Ernest Tremblay; as well as his four daughters, Lisa Grenert Wright and husband, John, Linda Grenert Ellis and husband, Johnny, Nancy Grenert Balch and husband, Larry and Laura Grenert Raineri and husband, Albert. In addition, he leaves six grandchildren, Erin Gardner, Kelly Peck, Lindsey Lee, Lane Wright, Benjamin Raineri and Morgan Raineri as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Heritage Cremation Provider will be handling the arrangements.There will be no calling hours.A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
