William (Bill) Henry Lyle, M.D., 95, died Tuesday July 28, 2015 from lymphoma in La Jolla, California. Bill was born on June 9, 1920 in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a child he moved to Yuma, Arizona to live with an aunt to recover from rheumatic fever. He graduated from Yuma High School, University of Southern California, and McGill University Medical School (Montreal, Canada).Bill practiced medicine in Yuma for decades before retiring to Coronado, California.He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Sander Lyle in 1998. He is survived by his current wife, Myrtle Folsom Lyle; children Susan Erwin, Gail Edlund, William Lyle Jr., and Robert Lyle; granddaughters Renee Edlund, Audrey Erwin, Lauren Edlund, Susye Erwin, Hannah Edlund, Lisa Erwin, and Robyn Erwin; and greatgrandson Adrian Castillo.Memorial services, not yet scheduled, will be held at Casa de Manana in La Jolla, California and St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Yuma, Arizona.
