William David Horrell, 68, passed away on Oct. 20, 2016, in Anchorage, Alaska. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel: 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501. Following the service, William will be laid to rest with his late wife, Ellen Horrell, at 1 p.m. at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Bill was born on Nov. 20, 1947, in Wayne, Neb. He served in the United States Marine Corps first during the Vietnam War and then as a heavy equipment mechanic for the military. Bill retired from his service with full military honors. Bill moved to Alaska in the mid-1990s from southern California. Bill was a family man. He loved fishing, camping and hunting in this great state he loved and enjoyed. He loved spending time with family and friends. Bill is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca Carter and Christina Kelly; his stepchildren, Victoria Mcclure, Jackie Frost, Tina Miguel and Sandra Lorraine Godbehere-Stahlhut; and sisters, Ida Mae Richards and Laura Ann Winters. Bill is also survived by several grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will be mourning his passing. Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
