Buresh, William "Bill" J.William J. Buresh, age 77, of 1724 Platt Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.William was born on March 2, 1937 in Manitowoc son of the late Joseph and Helen (Lewandowski) Buresh. He was a 1955 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On October 14, 1961 he was married to the former Fanchon Walters at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2014. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Bill was employed with Manitowoc Engineering Company for 42 years. In his younger years Bill enjoyed playing baseball and volleyball and had a professional tryout with the Milwaukee Braves. Bill was an avid fisherman, golfer and loved all sports amateur and professional. He loved his personal relationships with all his friends and family. Survivors include his one daughter and son-in-law: Lynn (James) Brown, Wrightstown; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Raymond (Geraldine) Walters, Manitowoc; Marilyn Walters, Manitowoc; Joseph (Marge) Walters, Manitowoc; Joann (Allan) Wargin, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Helen Buresh; his wife: Fanchon Buresh; an infant brother-in-law: Bernard Walters; one brother-in-law: Richard Walters; and one nephew: Brian Walters.A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dave Beaudry will officiate with entombment of his cremated remains at the Knollwood Mausoleum.
