William K. Horin91, of Swansea, Massachusetts, passed away on August 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, in Fall River, Massachusetts. He was born on March 25, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois to William C. and Margaret Pratt Horin. William married Genevieve Beatrice Rohrer in Springfield on October 16, 1953, and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2006.Mr. Horin is survived by three children: William Horin (and wife Dru) of Bethesda, MD., Jonathan Horin (and wife Shelly) of Danville, VA., and Sarah Reynolds (and husband Tim) of Swansea, MA., seven grandchildren: Colleen, Cynthia, Adam, Brett, Emily, Andrew and Ashley and one great-grandchild Paul.William served in the U.S Navy from 1944 to 1946, and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Science in 1948.  Thereafter he worked in agricultural development, concluding with sales with Producers Seeds from 1953-1961. He founded and owned Youth House Shoes in Indianapolis, Indiana from 1961-1982. He worked for the Indiana State Board of Health from 1982 until 1999. He was a member of Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts and Firecrafter. One of William's favorite hobbies was feeding his birds.A memorial service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. The family will meet friends from 11:30am until the time of service at Bisch and Son. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday at Waverly East Cemetery.
