BURKESVILLE, KY - William M. "Bill" Boggs passed away on September 23rd, 2015 at his home in Burkesville, KY. He was born on September 14th, 1948 in Racine, WI to Willis and Janis Boggs. Bill grew up in Racine, WI. He graduated from Park High School, in Racine, WI, in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Marines Corp and served during the Viet Nam war from August 12, 1968 until August 11, 1972. He served as an administrative assistant and later as Military Police. He worked for the Village of Caledonia, WI for 30 years, first as a patrolman and later as an Investigator. His duties included hostage negotiator, criminal arson investigator and worked with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit for 3 years. He was also a member of the Racine County Arson Task Force. Bill married Susan Toutant on February 6th, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were happily married for 25 years. Bill enjoyed building model train sets, collecting model cars and being a private pilot. He tremendously enjoyed flying his Cessna 150 plane. Bill is survived by his wife Susan of Caledonia, WI, Daughter Tammy Boggs of Oconomowoc, WI, son Michael (Jessica) Boggs of Madison, WI, son Paul (Lauren) Boggs of Racine, WI, step-daughter Sebrina Miller of Caledonia, WI and step-son Roy (Jennifer) Miller of Kenosha, WI. He is also survived by his mother Janis Boggs of Marrowbone, KY, sister Deborah (Benjamin) Honeyman of Marrowbone, KY, brother Edward (Laura) Boggs of Golden, CO. Nieces Angela Marie Samson of Glasgow, KY, Angela Nicole (Lance) Jones of Goose Creek, SC and Haley Boggs of Denver, CO. Nephew Cory Honeyman of Coldwater, MI. Grandsons Christopher Weidholz, Austin and Owen Mack and Mason Miller. Granddaughters Ariana Maldonado and Mackenzie Cisneroz. Great nephew Robert Samson and great nieces Megan Samson, Taylor Honeyman and Mia Honeyman. Bill was preceded in death by his father Willis, nephew Benjamin Honeyman IV and niece Jessica Honeyman. A funeral service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI. at 11:00 am November 30th. Luncheon to follow at Fountain Banquet Hall 8505 Durand Avenue, Sturtevant, WI at 12:30.
