Torrison, William R.William R. Torrison, age 70, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.Bill was born on July 27, 1945 in Two Rivers to the late John and Mary Spindler Torrison. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. He enlisted with the United States Air Force in 1968 and was stationed at Bakersfield, CA until his honorable discharge. Bill studied Transcendental Meditation in Switzerland and later taught classes in Manitowoc. He spent time travelling the world which was highlighted by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, Machu Picchu, and sailing on the Calypso with Jacque Cousteau's son. Bill was an avid art collector and was most interested by in works by Anthony Quinn, Red Skelton and Tony Curtis. He also enjoyed photography and spending time with family and friends.Survivors include Bill's siblings: John (Del) Torrison and Lynn Torrison, both of Appleton; two nieces: Leigh (Mike) Duescher and Danielle (Jim) Marks; nephew: Scott Deppisch; also other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: John and Mary Torrison.A Life Celebration Social will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
