William Robert Pile, 93, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Life Care of Bardstown. He was born on June 13, 1920, in Washington County, a retired farmer, a former Campground Manager of My Old Kentucky Home State Park and a lifelong member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Theresa Thomas Pile; his parents, Robert Lee and Virgie Lee Simpson Pile; a granddaughter, Robin Pile; and four brothers.Survivors included a daughter, Joyce (Wilbur) Bogard, of Bardstown; a son, Bobby (Sue) Pile, of Bardstown; two brothers, Edwin Pile, of Cox's Creek, and Norris Pile, of Springfield; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with burial in Poplar Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at the church until time of service at 2:30 p.m.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church in his memory. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
