June 5, 1931 - September 27, 2016 William S. Tom, aka Bil, died on September 27, 2016 in Hollywood, CA. He was born on June 5, 1931, the sole surviving brother of James L. Tom, in Oakland, CA, and the uncle of Dana and Allison Tom. Bil graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in mathematics and an MBA from CA Lutheran College. He worked at the Naval Ordnance Test Station in China Lake, CA and the Naval Missile Test Center in Point Mugu, CA until his retirement. He taught at the Ventura Community College after retirement and volunteered at an AARP Center in Van Nuys helping seniors with their income tax. He was a world traveler until his passing with many friends in Southern California, Germany and Thailand. He was past president of A/PGF and Treasurer of IFcon.
