Steinman, William "Bill"Surrounded by those who loved him, William Edward Steinman was called to the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Bill was born on September 2, 1939 to Lucille (Mueller) and Robert in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bill loved to spend time near water especially summers on Pewaukee Lake. An avid swimmer, Bill was proud of his State Championship in swimming while a senior at Wauwatosa High School. After high school, Bill studied Business Administration at Lincoln College in Lincoln, Illinois. He married Catherine (Katie) Slatky at All Saints Church in Denmark, Wisconsin on November 11, 1967, and they were blessed with two daughters, Robyn and Stacy. Bill was an active volunteer at Nativity of our Lord Parish in Green Bay. He found fulfillment serving others as a member of the Family Life Commission. Christmas was Bill's very favorite time of year. He loved to decorate the house and prepare special Christmas candies. It was appropriate that Bill and Katie enjoyed this last Christmas together.He is survived by his wife and best friend, Katie; his daughters, Robyn Caudell and Stacy (Brad) Wallace; grandchildren, Scot Caudell (Green Bay), Maxwell and Valerie Wallace (Freedom); brother,Robb (Cheryl) Steinman of Waukesha; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Butscher of Fox Point; dear friends, Sonny and Shirley Lins and Judy Schroeder;as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends Bill is further survived by Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Robert; his father and mother in-law, Ed and Anna Slatky; his brother-in-law, Tom Butscher; his son-in-law, Clay Caudell; and nephew, Joe Butscher. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm with prayer taking place at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 Oneida Street, from 10:00 to 11:00. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Rev.
