William Dowdy, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 25, 2024, in Waco, Texas. He was born on March 5, 1945, to Sylvester and Dowdy.
William leaves behind his loving wife and 10 children: Gary Bernard Phenix, Renata Devonme Phenix, William Michael Phoenix, Roshanda, Bridget, Byron Dowdy, Reginald Dowdy, Yolanda Curtis, Jeffrey Lamont Hackworth, and Sean Paul Hackworth. He was also a cherished grandfather to 10 grandchildren.
William attended GW Carver High School and graduated in 1961. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who was loved by many. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and love for his family.
On October 25, 2024, William passed away peacefully due to a heart attack. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
