William WaskelisLoudon, TNWilliam Waskelis (Bill), age 79, of the Tellico Village Community,Loudon, Tennessee passed away October 31, 2016. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City.He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lenoir City Chapter. He wrote the newsletter for the KOC for seven years. He loved his family fervently, his church, the Knights, golf and was an avid Chicago Cub fan for most of his life. His favorite motto was "Wait 'til next year." Bill was born on May 19, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Cass Technical High School. He was a graduate of Wayne State University and attended Arizona State University.Preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline Sukockas Waskelis; and his beloved son, Christopher Scott Waskelis. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Waskelis; beloved son, Kevin Mitchell Waskelis; sister, Paula Horoky; brother-in-law, Rich Horoky; nephews, Eric (Denise), Philip (Colleen); niece, Lynette (Mike); sister-in-law, Marcia Elam (Ron); nephew, Nicholas (Kari); niece, Elizabeth; and several great nieces and nephews.
