William Charles Rolfe also known as Grumpy, Bill, Big Bad Bill, Papa, Grumpa and Uncle Bill 76, of Pittsburg, California, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 01, 2020 surrounded by his family after a four-month battle with cancer. William was born to George Calvin Rolfe, Sr, and Elsie Schwartz Rolfe, March 07, 1944.
William graduated from Central High School, Grand Rapids, MI in 1962. He married Janie Wheeler Rolfe in 1969, and they lived together in Pittsburg. William worked at JC Penney stockroom supervisor 10 years, Eastman Kodak/Danka 30 years Service Tech Xerox/MRC until he retired in 2006 and returned to work 2012-2020 MRC Set up shop tec.
E-3 Seaman Rolfe served his country as a Deckhand in the USS Lofberg of the US Navy active duty 1962-1964 for 3 years years.
William is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janie, son Dr. Kevin William Rolfe (Dr. Brigitte Prinzivalli Rolfe), daughter Kristine Lujan (Chris), special niece Jennie Brown (John), grandchildren, Jacob, Maceo, Bardot, Zander, Gianvieve, Delancey, Julia, Justin, Jilly, his sister Carole Anne Restaino of Michigan and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father George, mother Elsie, brother George Jr., sister Marjorie and aunt Mary, who was like a mom to him.

To the Rolfe Family, Bill was a very close Friend while we were in High School. Four years went fast, then we went our separate ways into the military. Lynn went into the Marines and Bill and I in the Navy. You had a Great Dad and Husband.
One day we will meet again. I just found out now 6/12/23.
