Willie Farrow Sr. 95, of Chesapeake, Virginia affectionately known as “Lloyd” or “Flap” was born on February 27, 1928 to the late Thomas R. Farrow and Marilyn K. Farrow. Willie 95 years old, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday August 1, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his family and close loved ones. Willie attended Portsmouth Public Schools. He was a graduate of I.C. Norcom High School, Class of 1944. After graduation, he served several years in the military where he later met the Love Of His Life Annette M. Farrow. In which they would later get married and go on to have three wonderful children Willie E. Farrow Jr, Teresa Mackey, and Michael Farrow. Willie retired, April 30, 1988 after serving 25 years of service from The Naval Supply Center, NOB. Willie was a faithful and devoted husband and father as well as longtime Trustee at Mt Hermon Baptist Temple on London Blvd., Portsmouth. He participated in several ministries but the sight and sound department was his favorite. Willie was a remarkable and fun loving family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends taking road trips and participatingin any and every family event. Willie was in church whenever the doors were open to do his part. He was very active in the Olympian Sports Club, Inc. He looked forward to the events at the Olympian club and it also gave him an opportunity to share with the public his gift of spinning records. Besides DJing, Willie had the gift of photography and videography. He has blessed many families and communities with countless memories of pictures and videos of reunions, birthdays, weddings, baby showers and many more monumental events. Willie will be truly missed but he is forever in our hearts.
