Willie Anderson “Big Will” West, 72, passed on March 24, 2023. He was born to the late Sis. Willie Ella “Julie” West-Spratt in Athens, Mississippi on February 09, 1951.

Willie Anderson attended school in Athens, MS. He was a member Cornerstone Untied Methodist Church in Tupelo, MS. He worked as the community’s mechanic, cook, and construction worker up until his health degraded. He was passionate about spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and just enjoying life.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Vicki, 2 sisters, Willie Mae (Sanford) Moore, of Aberdeen, MS, Anna Dobbs, of Aberdeen, MS, 1 brother, Frank (Charmin) Spratt, of Sacramento, CA, 1 sister-in-law, Geraldine West, of Amory, MS. 7 children, Debra Lynn Moore, Cassandra West, Willie West Jr., Yolanda West, Arsenio West, Thomas Ross, Elizabeth Ross. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Billie Chalopezia.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Sis. Willie Ella “Julie” West-Spratt, his brothers, Hosea West, Dalloyd West, his niece, LaDonna Kaye Commey, his nephew, Patrick Edmonson, and his great-grandson, Logan.
