Willie George Collins was born October 25, 1944, to the late George Lee Collins and Mr.s Mattie Lee (Stokes) Collins Price in Pensacola, FL. His book of life closed on March 25, 2018. He lived in Pensacola, FL, also in Los Angeles and Palmdale CA where he had resided for 52 years.
At an early age, he joined Talbot Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Pensacola, FL. He attended school in (Escambia County), at Washburn Senior High School and graduated in the class of 1969. His career started in Pensacola, FL at the Pensacola Country Club, then he stepped into the shoes of a barber at Henry's Barber Shop and moved on to work in construction at Dyson Construction. He left Florida and moved to California where he landed a job building a career at Universal Studios that lasted for 36 years where he retired in 2013.
George leaves behind to cherish his memories two daughters, Carniesha (Collins) Ruth, and Latoasi Collins of Lancaster California, One son, Bertrand Collins of Los Angeles, California, six grandchildren, Wardell, DeJohnader, Brian, Carrier,London, and Chance, five greatgrandchildren, Mother, Mrs. Mattie Lee (Stokes) Collins Price, Pensacola, FL, one sister, Phyllis Collins Dupree Fountain, Pensacola, FL, two aunts, Sadie Watkins, Pensacola, FL and Grace Stokes, Pensacola, FL, one uncle, James Welch of California, nephews, relatives, a special cousin, James Stokes, Los Angeles, California, special friends, Jimmy and Lesa of Palmdale, California, Edward (Bubba) Dortch, Pensacola, FL, Kenny Andrews and Coker Jr., Atlanta, Georgia,
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lee Collins, two grandsons, Deancea and Andre, a great-nephew, Christopher Dupree II, a sister, Sara Juanita Bradley.
