On May 19, 1944, Willie Jean Wilson was born, in Mendenhall, Mississippi to James and Rosie Robinson. She was the seventh of eleven children.
Willie Jean, affectionately called, Willie, attended Public Schools in Mississippi, and furthered her education at the Jacksonville University, majoring in Music. SHe loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. When she would sing around the house, we had to look around to see where that beautiful sound was coming from, because it was hidden talent by all of her family.
Willie loved to cook, and loved kids. She not only raised her own children, but she raised other children in her home. She also loved sports, the Bengals being her favorite team. When you would call her, and ask her what she's doing, her reply was, "Watching cowboy movies!!!"
Willie had a loving spirit. SHe was always availabe for everyone, her phone number never changed. You could always depend on her. She always had a kind word to say to anyone. She knew everybody's birthday and we would always know that she was going to wish us a Happy Birthday!
Willie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Lillie and ELizabeth, and her brother James.
Willie leaves to cherish her memory; her beloved brothers, Robert and Otis Robenson, her sister, Bessie Tuckson; her daughters: Lillie Delores Goode, Kimberly Wilson, Aries, and Amber; her sons, Robert, Douglas Wilson, and Tony; grandchildren: Brittany, Brandy, Darryl, Devin, Juwan, and Lauryn; great-grandchildren: Dayveion, Aaliyah, ad Ariel; son-n-law: Dexter, daughter-n-law, Tare and Jane; her bestfriends, Carolyn Love and Carolyn Brown; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Willie will be missed by all. She was a good mom, sister, and friend. Now we all have to say Good-bye to a wonderful woman and mother. Rest in Peace, Willie Jean Wilson.
