Willie Cunningham, 60, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed on January 07, 2010. Willie was born on June 06, 1926. Aunt Willie Mae was born the eleventh of twelve children to Chapman and Mary Jane Frazier Rhodes. She was named after one of her mother's sisters, Aunt Mary Willie Frazier. In 1947 she wed the love of her life, Lorenza Cunningham, after he return home from Naval duty in World War II. Aunt Willie and Uncle Lorenza had their first child, Patricia, born in 1948. Then Pamela was born in 1953. Finally, Lorenza, Jr. was born in 1956. Aunt Willie was always quick witted and had an upbeat, pleasant personality. She was a great mother and superb homemaker, always busy with homemade crafts and selling Avon products in her community. On top of that, she and Uncle Lorenza owned and operated a Grade-A Dairy farm for approximately 23 years. Whenever her living out of town brothers, sisters and children came home to visit each year, the doors to Aunt Willie's home was always open to accomodate us road weary travellers. I fondly remember often staying at Aunt Willie's home, playing with my cousins and seeing their awesome dairy operation with all the milk cows and milking machines. Both Pamela and Lorenza Jr. prematurely preceded Aunt Willie in death. After 57 years of a fruitful, loving and devoted marriage, Uncle Lorenza also passed. Left to celebrate Aunt Willie's life and legacy is her daughter Karen Cunningham; grandchild, Deshawn; sister, Corrine Jackson (Willard); brother, Garnett Rhodes (Ella); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aunt Willie was a dear, precious jewel of a lady of whom I'm sorely missing. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven.
