Willie married his loving wife, Elizabeth Moore, in 1942, and together they had two children, Willie Moore Jr. and Annie Newsomes. Annie tragically predeceased her father. Willie attended Halifax County High School, where he excelled academically and made lifelong friends. After graduating, he began working at Halifax County, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his community.

Willie will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
