Wilma Gladys Morris Bone1921 - 2016Wilma Glady Morris Bone was born on January 29, 1921, to Benjamin Thomas Morris and Helen Neeley Morris. She was the seventh out of eight children. She was the last surviving child in her family. She lived in the same home on South Grant in Pocatello until her marriage in 1945. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1939. She attended what was then University of Idaho, Southern Branch (now known as Idaho State University) for two years where she studied secretarial skills which served her well. During the summer of 1942, she met Donald E. Bone while she was staying with a cousin in Riverside, Utah. They corresponded while Don was in flight school and while he served as a B-24 Pilot in the South Pacific. He returned home in early January 1945, proposed and they were married on January 20. They had never had a formal date. After Don graduated from the University of Utah in 1949, they returned to Pocatello. In 1963, they moved to Fremont, California where they lived for 29½ years. Wilma loved her years living in Fremont. She made many wonderful friends there and she loved her beautiful home. In 1993, they followed their daughter Lisa and her family to Boise, Idaho.Wilma was a loving and devoted wife and a consummate homemaker, an almost lost art. She was a gifted seamstress and made most of the clothing worn by her daughters including their wedding dresses.She enjoyed life and had many wonderful life-long friends.She is survived by her daughters, Helen Eileen Peterson of Newdale, Idaho (Ronald Peterson) and Lisa Claire Young of Meridian, Idaho (Mike Young). She was the grandmother to seven grandchildren: Tom Wood, Matt Wood, Elizabeth Colton, Kent Wood, Paul Wood, Timothy Young and Jason Young and she had sixteen great-grandchildren.A viewing will be held at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah Street in Boise on Thursday, September 1 from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho, on Saturday, September 10, at 1:00 PM.
