Wilmer Leon Bobblett, 84, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.A native of Washington County, he was born on Oct. 2, 1929, to the late Valis and Lizzie Milburn Bobblett.He was a member of the Willisburg Church of God Of Prophecy and a farmer.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Hill Bobblett on July 16, 2009; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Bobblett on March 30, 2005, and a brother, Curtis Bobblett on Nov. 24, 2009.Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Bobblett, of Bloomfield, Charles Bobblett and his wife, Peggy, of Chaplin; a daughter, Veda Spalding and her husband, Herman, of Bardstown; five grandchildren, Kevin Bobblett, Chris Bobblett, Josh Bobblett, Adrienne Berry and Amanda Bright; eight great-grandchildren, Logan Bobblett, Cole Bobblett, Hunter Bobblett, Caleb Bobblett, Solomon Bobblett, Emma Berry, Graham Berry and Reagan Bright; an expectant great-grandchild, Jacobi Bobblett; two sisters, Essie Hood and her husband, William, of Springfield, and Virgie Burkhead, of Willisburg, and a brother, Ralph Bobblett, and his wife, Connie, of Willisburg.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy with burial in High View Cemetery in Chaplin.The Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, will officiate.Pallbearers are Kevin Bobblett, Chris Bobblett, Josh Bobblett, Adrienne Berry, Amanda Bright, Sammy Berry and Derrick Bright.Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the church.Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
