Winifred Frances RaileMCCONNELSVILLE: Winifred Frances Raile, 98 of McConnelsville, died on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11:43 P.M. at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.She was born on July 24, 1914 in McConnelsville, the daughter of Charles S. and Ida M. Havener. After graduation from M&M High School in 1933 she continued her education at the Good Samaritan School of Nursing graduating in 1936 as a registered nurse and followed her profession as a private duty nurse for many years. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ, Senior Citizens Club, TOPS#1405, Anna Wolf OCCL, active in all school activities when her children were in school, sang many years with the Friendly Singer Choir, volunteered at Mark Rest Center and various other civic activities. On July 14 1939 she married George F. Raile a florist and the same year they established the McConnelsville Greenhouse and Posy Shop, which they operated and served all of Morgan County until retiring in 1978.She is survived by a son, John "Ed" (Peggy) Raile of Columbus; four daughters, Dr. Martha (Charlie) Alligood of Chocowinity NC, Ruth Anne (James) Garrett of Caldwell, Susan (Jim) Dugan of Chattanooga TN, and Margaret (Bruce) Hutchins of Pickerington; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents; and her second mother, Forest Macelfresh Havener; husband; and two brothers, Charles W. Havener and George S. Havener.Services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville with Pastor James Garrett officiating. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-7:30 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
