KENSINGTON - Winthrop ""Bunky"" J. Hale, 80, died on Nov. 29, 2016, at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Mass.A native and lifelong resident of Kensington, he was born on Feb. 14, 1936, the son of the late Edward and Evelyn (Card) Hale.Bunky worked for many years as an auto mechanic for King Chevrolet, and later started his own business out of his home, called Kensington Automotive. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed many activities, including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and motorcycle riding. He was also a member of the Lake Umbagog Snowmobile Club in Errol.He is survived his wife of 51 years, Lorraine (Plourde) Hale of Kensington; his daughter, Linda Batchelder, and her husband, Brian, of Newport, Maine; five sons, James Hale and his wife, Dawn, of Corinna, Maine, Allan Hale and his wife, Eugenie, of Hilton Head, S.C., Toby Hale and his wife, Tammy, of Exeter, Steven Hale and his wife, Correen, of Epping, and Luke Hale and his wife, Jennifer, of Hampton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Glenn Hale, and his brother, William Hale..SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, N.H. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Kensington, located on 108 Amesbury Rd., Kensington, N.H.
