We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother,grandmother,and friend Wond Thompson-Carter, who passed away on October 15, 2024, in Lompoc, California, United States. She was born on November 20, 1965, to her mother Robbie Mae Thompson. Wond was married to Edward Carter for 23 years. She was blessed with two children, Lakeisha Annette Norwood and Latreya Shalene Norwood, as well as 5 stepchildren :Shante Norwood,Kenny Norwood, Hakiem(Boo) Brown, Janelle Hodges, and Edward Carter Jr.

Wond attended Santa Barbara High School and later went on to work as a caregiver, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. She had a passion for travel and a deep love for music, which brought her joy throughout her life.

Despite her battle with cancer, Wond remained positive and strong, always focusing on the good in life. Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious.

Wond leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as well as her grandchildren: Nashaya and Jalani, and many other adopted grandchildren.

May you rest in peace, Wond Thompson-Carter. Your spirit will live on in the memories of those who were lucky enough to have known you. As she would always say, "we'll see you when we see you!"
