We are saddened to announce the passing of Wylmus Hallmon, who was born on March 25, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Clyde Hallmon Sr and Charlie Mae Hallmon. She peacefully passed away on September 3, 2024.

Wylmus is survived by her two children, Lanita Hallmon and Michael J. Hallmon Sr. (spouse Sherri Hallmon), as well as seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Danny Hallmon.

Wylmus attended Hyde Park High School, graduating in 1957, before continuing her studies at Loyola University where she graduated in 1961. She worked as a Security Officer for the University Of Chicago for over 30 years before retiring in 2005.

Her hobbies included spending time with family and friends, and she had a special bond with her grandchildren. Wylmus will be remembered for her kindness, love, and dedication to her family.

She is survived by her seven grandchildren and her memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Wylmus Hallmon passed away due to Stage 4 Liver Cancer. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
