A beautiful butterfly has transitioned to be with the Lord. Yataryna Vincent-Dixon, affectionately known as Yata gained her butterfly wings on August 9, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio, United States. She was born in Tel Aviv Israel on January 6, 2003, a gift from God to be raised by her loving parents Marlon Sr and Mercedes Vincent. Her memory will always be treasured by her beloved brother Marlon Jr (MJ) who she loved taking care of always spoiling him and then complaining that he was too spoiled. Yata was promised to the love of her life Darion Dixon in 2024. Although they did not have children. They shared a deep love and connection that brought them joy and fulfillment. The love was evident to all who knew them. Yata was also survived by her Dotha Nabil, Nana Sarasha, Nana Marcil, Grenana ShaSha and a host of Amu’s, Ame’s and cousins.
Yataryna was a bright, beautiful and driven young lady. Although Yata spent her last few years in Ohio she was raised in Lake Bluff Illinois and has always considered this her home. Beautiful from inside out. Yata was home schooled, graduating at the young age of 15 in 2017. She went on to pursue her degree as a Certified Nurse Practitioner from the University of Toledo Medical College in 2022 where she graduating with honors. Yata worked as CNP under the tutelage of her Pedar.
Yata was a huge part of an organization founded by her Madar and inspired by Yata’s love of butterflies, Caterpillars 2 Butterflies organization, dedicated to helping to bring etiquette, hope and healing to young girls facing challenges in life.
Yataryna had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, cooking being her first love, she also enjoyed skating and swimming. She had a special love for butterflies, reflected in her work and her personal interests. Her favorite colors were purple and pink. Yata loved children and they adored her, she found joy in babysitting and spending time with loved ones especially her cousins/bestfriends Sheyla, Raya, Talia, Ayala and Sherestra.
In life God gave Yata many challenges to face, which she faced head on with a smile, dignity and grace. Yata has fought and survived cancer twice although her last battle with cancer made her lungs very weak. Her lungs were tired and unable to fight after Covid. She fought hard but God knew she was to good for this world. Yata will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to helping others, and her vibrant spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Funeral will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Tel Aviv Israel.
