Yevonne Jordan, 71, of Commerce, Michigan, United States, passed Monday, March 01, 2020. Yevonne was born May 03, 1948.
Born in Alberta, the daughter of John and Louise (Wesley) attended Clinton schools where she was a member of the student council and the International Baccalaureate Board . In her later years, she was a ruling Queen for the Red Hatter Society leading a faction in Windsor/Detroit.
Yevonne was a member of her community. She met her goals of completing a project that restored several damaged headstones in the historic old Clinton Cemetery in 2006. She attended First Spiritual Temple of The Sun in as a sit in.
Yevonne is survived by her grandchildren Randall and Alexia of Oakland County; her brother Sonny and her sister Deloris, both at home. She also leaves her long time friends, Harold and Gladys, of British Colombia; and her paternal cousins, Philip and Betty of Indianapolis. She is also survived by her daughter, Sheree and her husband Aaron.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jordan estate. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held at a private manor owned by the Jordan family. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that you consider donations to the Shepherd's Centers of America (SCA).
