Lubbock- Ylda Mesa SprolesYlda Mesa Sproles was born on December 30, 1951 to her loving parents,Oralia and Carlos Mesa Sr. in El Dorado, Texas. She married RandalSproles on November 14, 1981. She is preceded in death by her parents,her brother, Carlos Mesa Jr., and sisters, Adelaida Mesa, Manuelita Mesaand Estella Mesa Casias. She is survived by her husband, Randal Sproles and her daughter, Candace Sproles, her sisters, Olga Mesa Pinon, Andrea Mesa Sides, Martha Mesa Rodriguez, Margaret Mesa and Rosa Mesa Martinez and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.She was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Lubbock,Texas. Ylda was a retired nurse. She worked for University MedicalCenter for many years. Her favorite time was spending time with herfamily, and church family. She enjoyed working with crafts, taking familyvacations and being the, "Big Sister". She had many friends, co-workersthroughout her career life that she loved. She loved being a workingservant for The Lord. She will be greatly missed by her family andfriends. She will be laid to rest on Monday, November 13, 2017 at SpurMemorial Cemetery beginning with a funeral Mass at St. Mary's CatholicChurch in Spur, Texas at 2:00 p.m. The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Guajardo's Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas. Her family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers through thisdifficult time.
