Wenger, Yvonne Marie 83 of Tempe, AZ, passed away on October 8, 2017. She was born on September 16th 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Werner and Helen Erickson.Yvonne grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Central High School in 1952. The next year Yvonne married Robert Wenger and they were happily married for 64 years. Yvonne enjoyed summers in Minnesota, snowmobiling, crossword puzzles, sewing, camping, playing with dogs and grandkids as well as supporting Arizona sports teams. Yvonne is survived by her husband Bob; her sons Keith (Darann) of Kimball, MN, Steve (Jeff) of Coppell, TX, Gary (Jodi) of Scottsdale, AZ, daughter in-law Cheryl Hoffman-Wenger of Manhattan Beach, CA, and John (Bridget) of Queen Creek, AZ; her grandchildren Angela (Riley) Soelberg, Christopher (Bobbi), Jessica (Jay) McPhaul, Andrew, Erika, Danielle, Josh (Megan), Kylee (Brennan) Gilson, Zachary, Jason, and Morgan; her great-grandchildren Annika and Niklas Soelberg, Jackson, Ryder McPhaul, Abigail, and Wyatt Gilson; and other relatives and friends. She was loved very much and will be missed by all that knew her. Yvonne was preceded in death by her son Michael, parents, sister Lu Jean Martinich, brother James Erickson, and grandson Jerrad. A Memorial service will take place on Saturday January 6th 2018 at 11:00 at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Tempe, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Banner Alzheimer's Institute or Rudd Memorial Fund at King of Glory Lutheran Church.
