Zelma E. McDanielUPPER SANDUSKY: Zelma E. McDaniel, age 93, formerly of rural Nevada, Ohio died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Wyandot Co. Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on December 17, 1923 in Kooskia, Idaho to Ernest and Lucinda (Eby) Widman. She married Kenneth L. McDaniel on March 25, 1945 and he died March 8, 2004. Surviving are the following children: Kathleen (Roger) Cotsmire, Bucyrus, Ohio, Marcia (Ronald) Heckathorn, Marion, Ohio, Norma (John) Spiegel, Bucyrus, Ohio, Dennis McDaniel, Findlay, Ohio, Marvin (Deanna) McDaniel, Westerville, Ohio, Jeffrey (Gale) McDaniel, Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren. Zelma was preceded in death by a son, Andrew McDaniel, and two brothers, Donald and Clarence Widman besides her husband and parents. Zelma was a registered nurse and a homemaker, member of Union Salem United Methodist Church, and also attended the former Bloomville United Methodist Church. Zelma was a former member of Eden Grange, Wyandot County, and was formerly active in all kinds of church activities throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and traveling. Funeral services for Zelma will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow at Union Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral services. Memorial contributions can be made to Union Salem United Methodist Church, Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, or the Donor's Choice in case of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O.
