Arnold "Arnie" D. Drumm of Tawas City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital, age 83. Arnie was born on Oct. 25, 1932 in East Tawas to Cecil and Orpha Drumm. He proudly served our country during the Korean War era in the United States Army. Arnie retired from D&M Railroad where he worked for many years as a car man. He loved spending time and creating many fun memories with his family. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was very talented with music and could really give quite a performance by playing the harmonica and the guitar. Arnie also enjoyed dancing, playing darts and camping. He was a graduate of Tawas High School, a devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas and an active member of the Knights of Columbus No. 2709. Arnie is now survived by his two sons, Gregg (Heidi) of East Tawas and Jeffrey (Maryann) of National City; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reata; two daughters, Deb and Cindy; and one son, Steven. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas along with full military honors. His family will welcome friends at the church on Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. Per his wishes cremation will take place after the mass and he will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
