Beatrice Klatt of Farmington Hills, formerly of Tawas City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014, age 90 years.Beatrice was born on Feb. 1, 1924 in Detroit to Walter and Agnes (Dolecki) Krajewski. Like one of the original "Rosie the Riveters" from World War II, Beatrice worked at a plant that produced the much needed war supplies. Her work at Parke Davis Co. lasted until the end of World War II. She met and wed Stanley Klatt on Aug. 1, 1947. They were married for 54 years raising five children. Throughout the many years, she has held many other jobs, but Beatrice's true vocation in life was being a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, Bingo, bird watching, camping, nature, dancing, card and board games, travel and of course, visiting her family. Beatrice's beautiful smile and fun-loving personality will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Marlene (Rod) Fry of Commerce Township, Nancy (Dennis) Kelly of Wixom, Susan (Daniel) Hanninen of Tawas City, David (Dorothy) Klatt of Clawson and Daniel (Lori) Klatt of Tawas City; grandchildren, Kristen (Geoff) Bennetts, Aaron Fry, Kathleen Kelly, Colleen Kelly, Sarah Klatt, Melissa (Tom) Stankevich, Elizabeth (Steven) Hanninen-Mulvena and John Hanninen; great grandchildren, Peyton and Paige Bennetts, Abigail and Nathaniel Mulvena; and many special friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Klatt; her parents, Walter and Agnes Krajewski; brothers, William, Al, Edward and Barney Krajewski; sisters-in-law, Lillian, Alice, Vonda, Mary and Dorothy; and brothers-in-law, Carl, Edward, Robert, Charles and Henry. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. The Rosary will be prayed that evening at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held for Beatrice on Wednesday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. Her family will welcome friends at the church for visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will take place in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Tawas City.
