A private family service is being held. Burial will take place at Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Lincoln Township, MI. On September 14, 1946 she married Leo Reuss in Augusta, MI. She and Leo raised their family in Battle Creek where she lived in the same home for 55 years. Betty moved to Stevensville in 2006. Betty was contemporary minded, she enjoyed walking her property and raising and showing her chickens. She was a kind and loving human being. Most of all, Betty loved her family and always put them first, she was a dedicated mother. Some of her last words on the earth were, "When I get back Home, it's gonna be Heaven." Betty is survived by her sons, Dennis (Kristy) Reuss and Dale (Cindy) Reuss; brother, Carl Barnes; grandchildren, Devin (Molly) Reuss, Nathan (Kelly) Reuss, Vincent (Amanda) Reuss, Leah (Mike) Daniels, Matt (Coral) Wedel, Angie (Joe) Greene, Aaron Greene and Kirsten (Michael) Klupp; fifteen great-grandchildren and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo and brother, Dent Barnes.
