DIEHL, BLANCHE ELIZABETH Age 94; of Fort Gratiot, MI; formerly of Remus; passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Blue Water Hospice Home in Marysville. Funeral Services for Blanche will be held at Clark Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joseph DeHass of Port Huron officiating. Interment will follow in Broomfield Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place at Reflections Reception Center following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Blanche was born on November 21, 1921, in Sevierville, TN, the daughter of Alton Walker and Margaret (Canupp) Walker. She married Ward Foster Diehl on June 15, 1940, in Flint. Blanche worked as a Licenced Pratical Nurse and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star - Waubenoo #360. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and crocheting. Blanche is survived by her children, Ward M. (Betty) Diehl of Northlake, TX, Sandra L. Barry of Colorado Springs, CO, Naomi M. Jack of Bullhead City, AZ, and Lon C. (Beth) Diehl of Marysville, MI; sisters, Myrtle Walker of Sevierville, TN, and Olis Walker of Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjory Hyder; loving caregiver, Brenda Delano; and many nieces and nephews. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Ward F.
