Bruce Grysiewicz of East Tawas, formerly of Northville, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at the Tawas St. Joseph Hospital, age 63 years. Bruce was born on Sept. 5, 1951 in Wayne County to Thaddeus and Genevieve (Zubel) Grysiewicz. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. Bruce was active with AuSable Valley Community Mental Health where he had many dear friends. He truly enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors and loved spending time with his family. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Bruce is survived by his brother, Gary (Kathy) Grice of Lafayette, Calif.; and his two sisters, Celeste (Larry) Miller of National City and Vicki (Dave) Schmits of Gaylord; and six nieces and nephews, Joe Froehlich, Courtney Platte, Jim Sheedy, Jennifer Harrington, Melissa Grice and Natalie Grice. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Jennie Grice; and a sister, Laura Grice. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of his life held at a later date.
