Calvin Carpenter , 84, of Marlette, Michigan, passed on June 09, 2023. Calvin was born on February 06, 1939 to Chester and Sylvia Carpenter. He graduated from the University of Michigan earning his associates degree. Calvin married Maria Carpenter on November 5, 1961, in Saginaw. He worked for Valentine engineering for nearly 30 years. Calvin always kept busy and spent countless hours building model train kits. He enjoyed watching classic television shows, traveling with his family, and tinkering around the house. Calvin was quite the jokester, he enjoyed making people laugh, was always there to offer a helping hand, and was a friend to everyone – he never met a stranger. He was a simple man, father figure to many, and made a big impact on many lives. Above all, Family was the most important to Calvin, his kids were everything and he took great pride in everything they did – especially projects with Henry and watching Elizabeth bowl. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are: Loving wife, Maria Carpenter; Son, Henry Carpenter; Daughter, Elizabeth (Robert) Barbour ; Sister, Kathy (Steve) Zombirt; Grand children, Christina (Dan) Milovich, Jasen (Kaitlyn) Barbour, Justen Barbour, Jesee Barbour; Great grand children, Carsan Milovich, Mady Milovich, Raelynn Barbour, Jensen Barbour. Calvin will live in forever in our hearts.
