Carol Jean SchraderTwining(formerly of Prescott & Port Huron) Passed away peacefully August 23, 2017 in her home with her family by her side.She was born on December 29, 1938 in Port Huron, Michigan, to the late Marion Elizabeth (Fogal) Henderson and Charles Glenn Henderson. After the death of her father in 1945 Carol was blessed to be raised by her loving mother and wonderful stepfather Roy (Pappy) C. Warren. Carol attended Port Huron area schools and graduated from Port Huron High School in1956. She married Norman E. Schrader on December 15, 1978 in West Branch, Michigan. Carol was employed with several different retail businesses over the years and worked side by side with her husband Norm for many years running The Prescott Bar in Prescott, MI. She enjoyed country and gospel music, but her greatest enjoyment came from the time she spent with family and friends, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Carol is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Norman; her children, Robert (Sherry) Archibald, Jodi (Gary) Moss, Timothy Schrader, Kathi (Steve) Gossman, Sherri (John) Pavlik, Paul (Tricia) Schrader and Vicki (Mike) DeBoever; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and step-father, and her brother and only sibling, Richard Glenn Henderson.According to Carol's wishes and that of her family, cremation has taken place and she will be interned at Clayton Cemetery. A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at her home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice, 546 Progress Street, West Branch, MI 48661.
