Barringer, Caroline Louise Age 92; of Casco; formerly of Hazel Park; passed away on October 24, 2016 in Regency on the Lake after a short illness with her family by her side. She was born on May 20, 1924 in Highland Park, daughter of the late Harry and Caroline Stevenson. Caroline married Ralph G. Barringer on January 21, 1944. He passed away on June 14, 2007. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge. Caroline played the organ and sang at St. Margaret’s Church in Hazel Park. She was a loving mother of seven children and several grandchildren. Caroline enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. Caroline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna (Robert) Herman of Casco; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie (John) Wilson of Warren; son and daughter-in-law, David (Karen) Barringer of Augusta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Lori (Mike) Duffy of Fort Gratiot; daughter and her wife, Carrie Ervin (Heather Swick) of Warren; daughter-in-law, Liz Barringer of Madison Heights; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifton Barringer; daughter, Carol Althouse, granddaughter, Tracey Althouse; and her brothers: Robert, James, David and Dean. A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. Pastor Rob Harrell will officiate. Inurnment will be in Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.
