Cassie Alice Rice Bonifay, FLCassie Alice Rice of Bonifay, Florida passed away on November 23rd, 2016. She was born on January 17th, 1949, the daughter of Jack and Anna (Haring) Rice, and Wanda (Rice) and Norman Austin. Cassie graduated from Mason High School in 1967. While living in Mason, she worked at Wyeth. She moved to Florida, and loved the warm climate there. Cassie taught arts and crafts at a senior center, and loved to help others. She was active in clowning, and used the clown name, Blossom. Cassie is survived by her daughters Tressa Whitaker and Merri Roberts, as well as three grandsons, Dillan and Dennis Whitaker and Robert Stiles. Also surviving, are many siblings: twin sister Caren (John) Shaw- Finch, Richard (Evelyn) Rice, Fred (Susan) Rice, John (Tamara) Rice, Robin (John) Sabbadin, Randy (Trina) Austin. She leaves many nieces and nephews. Her mother Wanda Austin, and step-mother Anna Rice and sister Renee Austin, preceded her in death.A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will take place at Mason First United Methodist Church, 201 East Ash Street, on December 12th, 2016 at 11:00am with the Reverend Donna Minarik officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00am to the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for final expenses.
