Clarence Warren Lindensmith of Greenbush and Clermont, Fla. passed away at his Greenbush home on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. He was born on April 20, 1928 in Detroit to Clarence R. Lindensmith and Gertrude (Fensch) Lindensmith. He retired in 1986 from East Detroit Public Schools where he was a teacher, guidance counselor and coach.Warren and Velma (Cline) Lindensmith were married March 28, 1956 in Monroe. The couple enjoyed 55 wonderful years together.In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sister, Trudy Haskell of Sterling Heights; his brother, Ronald (Gayle) Lindensmith of Utica; one aunt, Shirley (Emerie) Verhille of Sterling Heights; uncles, Willard (Ellen) Fensch of Pigeon and Robert (Nancy) Fensch of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces, Deborah (Rick) Rigsby of Tazuwell, Tenn., Denise Derringer of Swartz Creek and Debra (Don) Fitzsimmons of Berkley; and nephews, Terry (Linda) McKinney of Monroe, Duane (Janet) Lindensmith of Warren and Douglas (Cindy) Lindesmith of Sterling Heights. He is also survived by many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Warren was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Ruth McKinney; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Haskell.Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Oscoda Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 212 River Rd. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Visitation and services will continue Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights. Mr. Lindensmith will then be taken to Reece Funeral Home in Harrogate, Tenn. on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. where he will be interred in Riverview Cemetery in Harrogate, Tenn.
